wu > When we left Roseburg, we decided to take the I-5 back to Seattle. The rest of our group was going to take the 101, along the coast. We decided against it because it would take a lot longer. We thought we'd stop at a winery or two along the way (the area just north of Roseburg had a lot of little wineries). This was the winery closest to the I-5 (and therefore the least out of our way).
wu > However, it was closed. Checking the little brochure we had, none of the wineries would be open until 11 am (it was around 10 am at this time).
wu > So, after that detour, we headed back to the highway and continued onward toward Portland.
wu > Angela wanted to see the coast, so she hitched a ride with Erik's car. So Danny was left to his own devices in the back...
wu > We found this truck amusing.
wu > After passing Portland, we were making really good time, so we decided to detour out to the Washington coast and drive along the 101 a little bit, to see what we were missing. On our way to the 101, following the Columbia River, we stopped at this lookout point.
wu > This overlooked the town of Longview.
wu > Here we are in Astoria.
wu > This is the bridge from Astoria to the other side of the Columbia River.
